LANDSCAPING — We have hired a new landscaping company - LGD Lawn and Landscape. Thursday will be their scheduled day to come. They will have a crew of 3 workers. LGD will be handling the lawn and landscape maintenance only. Plantings will be done separately, by Gloria and Dennis Durham. Please understand that there will be a learning curve for these workers. If you have concerns about things that should, or should not have been done, please tell Ingrid, and not the workers. They will only take direction from their boss. He will only take direction from Ingrid. Ingrid will be the point person for LGD. A NEW PARKING COMPLAINT — Who can use the Handicap parking spaces? Anyone with a valid Handicap placard or tag. If the sign says “Resident Only” then you must also have a green UPCA sticker. If the Handicap space is in a guest parking area, then anyone with the proper signage may park there. If you have an issue with an individual, and how or where they are parked, please talk to them neighbor to neighbor. The only thing the office can address is the lack of stickers or placards. And, while not handicap related, remember that anyone, resident or guest, may park in an unmarked space. DO YOU HAVE A GARAGE ?????????????? If so, here are a few things to remember.
This is your private property, and must be treated as such. We do not go into your garage without permission, just as we would not go into your apartment.
You are responsible for the garage door and cabinets, as well as keeping the area neat and tidy.
If there is an issue in your garage that you think is the Association’s responsibility please let Ingrid know so it can be addressed. We do not know what is going on in your garage if you do not tell us.
WHY DOES THE ST. ANN ELEVATOR KEEP BREAKING ?????? It is not breaking, it is just shutting down. Why does it shut down? Because it is being held open. This is a safety feature. Please get in the habit of not holding any elevator door open. The new St. Ann elevator is a lot more sensitive to this than the older elevators. If there is no motion sensed, then the elevator thinks there is something wrong and shuts down. If you are waiting for the elevator and see your neighbor coming down the hall, please let the door close, and push the button again when she gets there. (I know this is a repeat item. It just continues to come up.) I’m feeling a little moody and run down lately. So I Googled my symptoms. It’s adulthood. I have adulthood.
