FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!! It has taken a while, but Johnson Controls has finally gotten the ok from the Fire Marshall to proceed with the upgrade of our fire alarm panel. They will be working on it at the end of August. It will require 3 days of work. I’m sure you can expect some testing of the system. Once the new panel is installed a test will be done to see if it will be necessary to add new strobe locations. This cannot take place until the new, upgraded panel is installed. DOOR CLOSURES — The new closures have now been installed on all of the doors. The door stop must be used to keep the door open. THERMOSTATS — Please be aware that all of the hallway thermostats will be set at the same temperature. In the summer they will be set on 74, and in the winter 73. Please do not take it upon yourself to change these settings. If you feel there is a problem with the temperature in a certain area just let Ingrid know. THE WASPS ARE GONE — Brice has gotten rid of the wasp nests near the entrances. TRASH — We are noticing more and more trash and litter around the property. Trash has been left in the outgoing mail boxes. Litter is also being found in the parking areas. We assume that our residents are not the ones doing this. More than likely it is coming from caregivers, delivery people, and contract people. The worst area for this is in and around the Burgundy entrance. We have put a trash can in the area with the hope that people will see it and use it, instead of just throwing their stuff down.
