March 2026

PLEASE VOLUNTEER — There has been a lot of talk over the last couple of years about how we could re-purpose the tennis court and putting green area. ( Don’t panic, I did not say sell, I said re-purpose.) We would like to set up a committee to gather suggestions for presentation to the Board. We will need someone to volunteer to chair the committee. The committee will have to come up with a complete cost analysis of each proposed project. If you would like to volunteer, please let Tiffany know. We will not be able to move forward with this committee unless someone volunteers to be the chairman. FIRE ALARM PROJECT— Johnson Controls will start work next week to upgrade our Fire Alarm System. There will be three phases to the project: • Phase 1 will be to change out all of the current strobes to a newer, louder model. While this work is going on there will be a lot of testing involved - the alarms will be going off frequently. Please bear with us. • Phase 2 will be to upgrade the main panel. • Phase 3 will be to add new strobe locations if necessary. ST. PATRICKS PARADE — SUNDAY, MARCH 15 The only entrance into DeLimon will be through the Canal St. gate. Metairie Road and Focis entries will be blocked off. There will be a guard at the Canal gate from noon until 6pm. Entry passes are available in the office. Make sure to pick one up for yourself or to give to your guests. PLEASE BE AWARE — Some of you have been scared and upset when you have seen a young man wandering around the property. Please do not be alarmed. This young man lives on Canal St. He is a high level, non-verbal autistic individual. He is harmless. He thinks his job is to pick up trash and litter. JPSO has been called on several occasions - they come and take him home, but he will come back again. There is nothing else they can do. Please show a little compassion if you see him. SO LONG, GOOD LUCK — We would like to let everyone know that Tiffany will be leaving us next month. She will stay around to help us get someone new hired and trained. We thank her for all her hard work, and wish her the best in her future endeavors. DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME — The time will change on Sunday, March 8. We suggest you follow Fire Department guidelines and change the batteries in your smoke detectors with each time change. IF YOU USE THE ICE MAKER IN THE CLUB ROOM — Please do not leave the scoop, or any other item you use for that purpose, on the ice. Return the scoop to its storage space. This happened recently, causing the ice maker to back up and jam.
